Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations
Launched in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level domain is the single TLD intended for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level names remained running.
Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar company and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific requirements on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
The .NAME generic domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the right spelling in your native language.
